Both the O'Connor's, Christy Snr and Jnr passed this year a couple of months of each other and Zsa Zsa Gabor's adopted son has just died after being hit by a car so not a great year for families either!!

I think its simple. They all signed a pact with the Devil to have successful careers with a contract expiry date of 2016.

Keith Richards bought him out a few years ago and is now immortal

Old people dying, eh!

Let's add the 95 year old Liz Smith to the list. Or perhaps let's not bother.

No disrespect intended to the wonderful, hilarious Miss Smith.

And if you ever have to go to school
Remember how they messed up
This old fool
Don't pick fights with the bullies or the cads
'Cause I'm not much cop at punching other people's Dads
And if the homework brings you down
Then we'll throw it on the fire
And take the car downtown

All very sad when you consider the manufactured garbage we have force fed us nowadays. To me it feels like some true visionary artists (whether you liked them or not) have gone forever. Who do we have to fill the void? Simon fucking cowell. All very bleak

Re: 2016 Big Name Deaths
There is some truth in the fact that because of the age of the first really famous people of the TV age, we will see them dropping off regularly, BUT, this year has seen so many of what you would call big BIG players in their fields. I'm not a George Michael fan, but I know he is one of the biggest 80s icons. Bowie and Prince are so influential; mor ethan your average pop/rock star. Gary D\\Shandling is one of the biggets hitters of TV comedy, Carrie Fisher of Hollywood feminism. I just heard the woman who discovered dark matter has just dies, and I suppose she is ewually big and influential in the world of science.

Horrible anus, as Liz 2 would say.

The hoax,s on Twatter are coming thick and fast, the Queen has been pronounced dead twice this month, Britney Spears again yesterday..........When some of these stars really go, no one will believe it!

"RIP @britneyspears," the account tweeted, with a crying face and the date of her birth and "death".

Another tweet said: "britney spears is dead by accident! we will tell you more soon", with the hashtag #RIPBritney.

Another tweet came from the official Bob Dylan Twitter account, which shared the news by saying: "Rest in peace @britneyspears" with another crying face.
